Guadalupe M Medina and Gloria Barnes established G & G Concrete Specialists Inc., in 1984; Guadalupe seized the opportunity to make G & G a family business in 1995 after his partner decided to pursue other endeavors. The name changed to GMS Concrete Specialists Inc., since then, family members have solely owned the company. With a career spanning more than 45 years, Guadalupe offers experience, integrity, and is seriously committed to customer satisfaction while building a future for his family and his employees families. He has the benefit of having his children continuing in the family legacy. His oldest son, Paul Medina, with over 20 year’s experience, has assisted Guadalupe in building the company with strategic growth plans. In his role as Executive VP of Operations, he oversees General Operations while building customer and vendor relations in the field along with the help of his brothers and sisters. Jon Medina joined the company in 1994, with service and construction experience, to assist with Field Operations and Customer Relations. In January of 1996, Guadalupe recruited his daughter, Andrea Medina-Carbine, to streamline the administrative needs as well as improving the financial and accounting reporting of the business. Matthew Medina was lured away from an established career with a Valley Home Builder in September of 1996 to assist with the strategic growth plans.

Guadalupe, with the help of his children, have continued to grow the business, in 2003 truly made it a family business, and enlisted his daughter Catherine Medina. Catherine brings over 20 years of successful Business Operations and Human Resource management from the Service and Retail industry. Her addition is to assist the company with the changing face of Construction as it relates to human resources, automation, and operations.

Despite the many obstacles faced today by construction companies in the housing market, GMS remains a leader in the residential concrete industry. This fact achieved by the extraordinary efforts put forth by it's owners and employees alike. GMS understands and focuses on maintaining it's numerous outstanding relationships with the industry's contractors and suppliers to ensure a job well done.

Contrary to other concrete companies in Arizona, GMS has maintained an impressive customer base, which only continues to grow with the years. Among these clients are leading valley homebuilders who build from 200 to 5000 homes a year. GMS also caters to custom and semi-custom homebuilders contributing around 20 to 50 homes annually.

GMS looks forward to expanding its operations to meet the explosive growth in the valley of the sun. Outside of the company's residential production work, GMS may also include light commercial jobs to it's scope of work. GMS Concrete’s history has truly grown and expanded with a business acumen that has encompassed the importance of family while establishing a positive record of accomplishment of growth in the "Valley of the Sun" with plans to remain for years to come.
